It can be difficult to have authentic interactions between parents and children in supervised circumstances. We are committed to providing highly qualified supervisors for parenting time in natural, comfortable settings such as restaurants, sporting events, parks, movie theaters, museums and other venues in the Chicagoland Area.

Process

  1. Court Order - A judge orders Safe Together to provide supervised parenting time.

  2. Intake Meeting - Parents and child(ren) go through separate intake interviews to ensure that Safe Travels is the appropriate agency to provide services, and the supervisors gather information about the family's background. Parents review and sign Safe Together Agreement for services. Coordination of parenting time, date, and location occurs in these meetings as well.

  3. Parenting Time - A supervisor will coordinate exchange of child(ren) with both parents for both pick up and drop off. Time and place will be coordinated in advance. Protocols will be followed for supervision of parenting time.

  4. Summary Report - After each visit, a brief summary report will be delivered to the court and all attorneys of record.

  5. Follow Up - Safe Together will follow up with both parents as necessary to arrange additional parenting time.
